Danielle Adams and the Texas A&M womenÕs basketball team have one more nonconference test Ñ against Lamar ÑÊat Reed.

The Texas A&M women's basketball team will conclude nonconference play against Lamar at 7 p.m. Monday at Reed Arena.

A&M (11-1) is trying to win a dozen nonconference games for the third straight season. The Aggies also are shooting for their sixth straight unbeaten home nonconference slate.

The 10th-ranked Aggies have won their previous five games at Reed Arena by an average of 40.8 points.

The Lady Cardinals (10-3), picked to win the Southland Conference's West Division, are led by junior Jenna Plumley, who transferred from Oklahoma after being suspended for allegedly shoplifting cosmetics. After sitting out last season, the 5-foot-4 guard is averaging 12.5 points and 6.4 assists per game for Lamar, which is winless against teams from power conferences.

"Plumley is the type of player who likes to move a lot and run their offense," A&M sophomore guard Sydney Carter said. "She is the key to their team and likes to push the ball, is not afraid to take a shot anywhere on the floor and sets up screens."

The Aggies will open Big 12 play Saturday at 17th-ranked Texas, which will be the first of four road games against Top 25 competition.

"This game, depending how we play it defensively and offensively, will really help us going into the Texas game on Saturday," Carter said. "Hopefully, it will give us confidence and jump start our team chemistry."
