Aggie volleyball team to face No. 2 Longhorns

Texas A&M will face No. 2 Texas in the first half of the volleyball version of the State Farm Lone Star Showdown at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Gregory Gym in Austin.
The Aggies (9-2, 2-1) fell to Missouri on Saturday, while the Longhorns (9-0, 4-0) beat No. 10 Nebraska in Lincoln, Neb.
A&M leads the Big 12 in assists (14.06) and kills (14.82) per set, ranking second and fourth nationally in the categories. Texas, meanwhile, leads the nation in blocks per set at 3.39 while also leading the Big 12 in hitting percentage at .315.
