A&M blasts Colorado: BOULDER, Colo. -- Texas A&M's Mary Batis posted a match-high 13 kills to lead the Aggie volleyball team to a 25-21, 25-19, 25-15 victory against Colorado on Wednesday at the Coors Events Center.
It was the third consecutive Big 12 victory for the Aggies (17-10, 10-9) who will end the regular season at home at 4 p.m. Saturday against Missouri.
The Aggies tied a season high for blocks in a three-set match with 10. Alisia Kastmo and Jennifer Banse led A&M with five blocks apiece in overpowering Colorado (7-21, 2-17).
"I thought this may be one of our best blocking matches," A&M head coach Laurie Corbelli said. "We got into a really good rhythm with our block, and we felt like we had a good feel for their attackers coming at us. I think the team really handled the blocking and the defense really well."
A&M struggled offensively but still managed to outhit the Buffaloes, .160 to .053. The Aggies posted 45 kills to CU's 27 kills.
