Black gets all-tournament honors: SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Texas A&M outside hitter Kelsey Black was named to the JQH Invitational all-tournament team announced Sunday at the conclusion of the event.
The junior led the Aggies in kills in each of their three matches over the weekend at the Hammons Center, averaging 4.25 kills per set. She also averaged a team-leading 5.12 points and 0.33 aces per set as the Aggies went 1-2.
Black recorded 20 kills and 12 digs in a 3-2 victory against North Carolina and also had a career-high six blocks against the Tar Heels. She also posted a double-double in a 3-1 loss to tournament champion Ohio, tying a career high with 22 kills while also chipping in 15 digs.
Black and the Aggies (3-4) return to the court Friday and Saturday at the Pioneer Invitational, hosted by the University of Denver.
