Texas A&M women's sprinter Porscha Lucas and the Aggie men's 400-meter relay team earned the Big 12's weekly Track and Field Athlete of the Week awards, the league office announced Wednesday.

Lucas set a meet and facility record of 11.20 seconds to win the women's 100 at the Florida State Relays over the weekend at Mike Long Track. The time is the fastest run by a woman this season worldwide.

A&M's Richard Adu-Bobie, Gerald Phiri, Chris Dykes and Justin Oliver broke a 24-year-old facility record in winning the men's 400 relay in 43.18 at the Florida State Relays.

A&M will compete in the Texas Relays in Austin beginning Wednesday.
