Texas A&M's Jessica Beard and Julian Reid were named the Big 12 Athletes of the Week on Tuesday, while the Aggie men's track and field team moved up Track & Field News' NCAA formchart.

Beard won the women's 400 meters, while Reid won the men's triple jump at the UCLA Rafer Johnson/Jackie Joyner-Kersee Invitational over the weekend.

A&M's men, ranked No. 1 by the coaches' association, is now fifth on the NCAA formchart at 33 points. Florida State leads it at 54, followed by LSU (44), Southern California (42) and Auburn (34).

The formchart predicts where teams will finish at the NCAA Outdoor Championships.

A&M will compete in the LSU Alumnni Gold Invitational in Baton Rouge, La., this weekend.
