E-mail to a friend PHILADELPHIA -- The Texas A&M track and field team posted the top qualifying times in two relay races Thursday, while two distance runners posted Top 10 finishes at the 114th Penn Carnival Relays at Franklin Field.
A&M's Kevin McNab finished in sixth place in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 8 minutes, 49.76 seconds.
In the women's 5,000, Christina Munoz placed fourth with a personal best of 16:33.23.
The Aggie women claimed the top seed in the 400 and 1,600 relays.
In the sprint relay, Allison George, Porscha Lucas, Simone Facey and Gabby Mayo won their heat in 43.40, the fastest time A&M has posted in the event at the Penn Relays.
The foursome of Sandy Wooten, Katie Baker, Jennifer Williams and Jessica Beard nearly matched their season best in the 1,600 qualifier with a winning heat time of 3:32.25.
The women's 400 relay final is Friday and 1,600 relay final is Saturday.
