A&M men, women record top 10 finishes at NCAA indoor meet

E-mail to a friend FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- The Texas A&M women's team finished seventh while the Aggie men finished in a tie for 10th at the NCAA Indoor Championships on Saturday.
A&M's women took second in the 1,600-meter relay. Sandy Wooten, Simone Facey, Jennifer Williams and Jessica Beard posted the second-fastest time in A&M history, finishing in 3 minutes, 31.34 seconds behind LSU (3:31.14).
Arizona won the women's team title with 51 points. A&M scored 23 points and improved on its 13th-place finish last season.
On the men's side, A&M scored 17 points to earn its highest finish since 1990, when the Aggies tied for third. A&M finished 32nd last season.
A&M's Justin Oliver, Chris Dykes, Nick Robinson and A.C. Robinson took fourth in the 1,600 relay with a school indoor record 3:06.37.
