E-mail to a friend MONTREAL -- Texas A&M junior swimmer Julia Wilkinson qualified for her sixth Olympic race in four days with a silver-medal finish in the women's 100-meter freestyle at the Canadian Olympic Trials on Saturday.
Wilkinson's time of 55.53 seconds fell short of the qualifying standard of 55.24 that would allow her to swim the event at the Olympics, but by finishing second she has earned a spot on the Canadian 400 freestyle relay team.
Wilkinson also qualified for the Olympics in the 100 backstroke, 200 freestyle, 200 individual medley, 400 medley relay and 800 freestyle relay.
She will attempt to qualify in the 200 backstroke on Sunday.
