Aggie White beats Maroon: Junior Rhi Kliesing struck out 13 to lead the White to a 4-3 victory in the first of Texas A&M's best-of-3 Maroon and White Series on Tuesday at the Aggie Softball Complex.

Kliesing allowed seven hits and three runs over seven innings but fanned five of the last seven batters to secure the victory.

Rebecca Arbino threw five innings for the Maroon, allowing nine hits and four runs. The sophomore struck out three and walked none. Freshman Mel Dumezich relieved Arbino in the sixth and gave up four hits and a walk over two innings.

The Maroon scored all of its runs on homers, a two-run shot by junior Kelsey Spittler and a solo homer by Dumezich.

The series continues at 3:45 p.m. Wednesday at the Aggie Softball Complex. Admission is free.
