Aggies add assistant to coaching staff: Wally Crittenden is joining the Texas A&M soccer program as its volunteer assistant, head coach G. Guerrieri announced Wednesday.
Currently the technical director of the Aggieland Texans Soccer Club, Crittenden spent the previous three years as a full-time assistant at Nebraska where he worked as the goalkeeping/defensive coach.
Crittenden was born in Jackson, Miss., and grew up in Houston where he graduated from Clear Lake High School. He lettered all four years as goalkeeper at Florida International (1998-2002). He is on schedule to graduate with a master's degree in higher education administration from Nebraska this fall.
SOFTBALL
Glasco to play professionally in Austria: Former Texas A&M softball standout Erin Glasco signed a professional contract with Dornbirn Sharx Softball, based in Dornbirn, a city in Vorarlberg, Austria.
Glasco, who signed her professional contract back in February, will spend approximately two months with the Sharx in Austria this summer.
Glasco is in her second professional stint after spending last summer playing with the USSA Pride of the National Pro Fastpitch.
