Shipley Named Big 12 Player of Week: Texas A&M junior Rachel Shipley was named the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced Tuesday. The midfielder also was selected as a CS360 Primetime Player of the Week along with junior Whitney Hooper.
Shipley also was chosen to the TopDrawerSoccer Women's Team of the Week.
Shipley leads the Big 12 in assists in conference matches with four. She leads the Aggies and ranks second in the Big 12 in overall assists with seven.
The Big 12 weekly honor is the third of Shipley's career.

Pollock reaches semifinals at Futures Tour: Former three-time Texas A&M men's tennis All-American Conor Pollock recently reached the semifinals of the Mexico F10 Futures Tour tournament held in Zacatecas, Mexico.
Pollock, ranked No. 1,714 in the world, qualified for the main draw and defeated Jonathan Magadan of Mexico in the opening round 7-6 (1), 6-1. He later rallied past seventh-seeded and No. 830 Luis Diaz-Barriga of Texas 6-4, 2-6, 6-4, then beat Fernando Cabrera of Mexico 6-2, 6-3 in the quarterfinals.
Pollock's tournament run ended with a loss to top-seeded and eventual singles title winner Miguel Gallardo-Valles of Mexico 4-6, 7-6 (4), 6-4.

Aggies advance at ITA All-American: TULSA, Okla. -- Texas A&M junior Jeff Dadamo advanced to the third round in the qualifying singles draw at the 2009 D'Novo/ITA Men's All-American Championships on Tuesday afternoon at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.
Dadamo, a transfer from Florida, beat No. 72 Simon Childs of Louisville 6-1, 6-3. He will face 13th-seeded and No. 60 Shuhei Uzawa of Ohio State on Wednesday in the round of 32.
A&M junior Alexey Grigorov lost to ninth-seeded and No. 57 Kallim Stewart of UCLA 7-6 (6), 6-2 in the round of 64.
Grigorov will compete in the doubles main draw on Thursday with junior All-American Austin Krajicek. The duo is ranked 19th nationally.
In the qualifying doubles draw, Dadamo and senior Marcus Lunt won 9-8 (5) over Christopher Aumueller and Francois Van Impe of Nebraska. They then upset fifth-seeded and No. 38 Emanuel Brighiu and Chris Price of TCU 8-5. The Aggie duo will face Jonathan Dahan and Pedro Zerbini of Cal in the round of 16 on Wednesday.
