Hooper named TopDrawerSoccer.com Player of the Week: Texas A&M's Whitney Hooper was named TopDrawerSoccer.com Women's Player of the Week, the Web site announced Monday.
Hooper was also listed on the TopDrawerSoccer.com Women's College Soccer Team of the Week after she scored three goals in a pair of Aggie wins, including two goals in A&M's 3-1 upset of previously unbeaten and second-ranked Portland.
The junior netted two game winners, her second coming in a 4-0 shutout of Sam Houston State. The speedy forward now leads A&M with four goals, one assist and nine points this season.
SOFTBALL
Aggies back to diamond: The Texas A&M softball team begins its fall practice schedule Monday with a 3-hour workout, which begins at 3:15 p.m. at the Aggie Softball Stadium.
Practices this week, which all begin at 3:15 p.m., are open to the public.
A&M's eight-game fall slate begins Oct. 3-4 at the SKGSL College Classic in Spring, and wraps up with a doubleheader against Navarro on Oct. 14.
