BASKETBALL
A&M men to face Arizona, Alabama, LSU: The Texas A&M men's basketball team will play Arizona, Alabama and LSU in nonconference play this season.
The Aggies will open the regular season against Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Nov. 16 at Reed Arena. A&M will play host to Arizona on Dec. 5 in the Big 12/Pac 10 Hardwood Series. A&M's first road game will be at Alabama on Dec. 13. The Aggies will meet LSU on Dec. 20 at the Toyota Center in Houston.
A&M will play its first two games of the Padre Island tournament at home against Jackson State on Nov. 21, then North Carolina Wilmington on Nov. 25. The tournament's final two games will be on South Padre Island, where the Aggies will meet Tulsa on Nov. 28 and either Illinois or Kent State on Nov. 29.
SOCCER
Gnatzig on Buzz Elite Team of Week: Texas A&M junior Amber Gnatzig was selected to the Soccer Buzz Elite Team of the Week.
The midfielder also was named Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week.
Gnatzig scored two goals in a 3-2 loss to second-ranked North Carolina.
