Oyedeji scholarship fund growing: Nearly $35,000 has been raised for the Tobi Oyedeji Endowed Scholarship Fund, Texas A&M head basketball coach Mark Turgeon announced Tuesday.
Turgeon said that $34,847 have been contributed to the fund, which was established in July.
Oyedeji, who would have joined the Aggie basketball team this fall, died from injuries suffered in a car accident in Houston in May. In remembrance of Tobi, the A&M men's basketball program established the scholarship fund through the 12th Man Foundation.
Scholarship funds will be used to support future basketball players at A&M.
