ST. ANDREWS, Scotland -- Texas A&M junior Andrea Pavan will compete for the Continent of Europe against Great Britain and Ireland in the 2008 St. Andrews Trophy on Friday and Saturday at Kingsbarn Golf Links.
The match will include four morning foursomes followed by eight afternoon singles matches each day. Europe has not won the biennial event since 1998. The St. Andrews Trophy alternates years with the Walker Cup, which pits Great Britain and Ireland against the United States.
Pavan's team also features Spain's Jorge Campillo, the world's top-ranked amateur, and The Netherland's Reinier Saxton, the 2007 European Amateur champion.
