A&M's Boland earns Big 12 honor: Texas A&M's Julia Boland was the Big 12's female golfer of the month for November, the league office announced recently.
The senior from Sydney, Australia, won the Challenge at Onion Creek Nov. 3 in Austin with a 4-under 206, leading A&M to its second team victory of the fall. The victory also was Boland's second individual title of the season.

Aggie golfers start strong: WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- Former Texas A&M golfers Shane Bertsch and Jeff Maggert had good first rounds at the PGA qualifying tournament.
Both shot 1-under-pars 71 in the six-day event, four shots off the lead. Bertsch and Maggert are tied for 11th.
The top 25 finishers and ties after the six-round tournament will earn cards for 2010, with roughly 50 more earning fully exempt status for the Nationwide Tour.
