GOLF

Aggies 10th at Ping/Golfweek Preview: BREMERTON, Wash. -- The No. 12 Texas A&M men's golf team opened with 302-300--602 on Sunday at the Ping-Golfweek Preview and sit in 10th place at Gold Mountain Golf Club's Olympic Course.

The Aggies trail leader and top-ranked Oklahoma State (577) by 25 strokes going into Monday's final round. OSU's Peter Uihlein is the individual leader by three strokes after posting a four-under 69-71--140.

A&M freshman Cameron Peck is seven shots back at 76-71--147, tied for 11th. Sophomore Geoff Shaw is tied for 13th (72-76--148), junior Conrad Shindler is tied for 50th (75-79--154), senior Andrea Pavan is tied for 61st (82-74--156) and junior John Hurley is tied for 71st (79-80--159).

TENNIS

Karimi falls in semifinals at Baylor Intercollegiate: WACO -- Texas A&M's Kayvon Karimi fell in the semifinals of the singles B draw at the HEB Baylor Intercollegiate Invitational on Sunday at the Baylor Tennis Center.

Karimi opened the fall season with four-straight victories at the three-day tournament, but lost in straight sets to Carlin Murray of Louisiana-Lafayette, 6-2, 6-2.

Up next, the Aggies will compete at the ITA All-American Championships on Oct. 2-11 in Tulsa, Okla.
