QB Johnson to throw out first pitch at Minute Maid: Texas A&M quarterback Jerrod Johnson will throw out the ceremonial first pitch before the Houston Astros game Wednesday night against the Chicago Cubs at Minute Maid Park.
It's Aggie Night, with tickets basically half price. Two dollars from each purchase will benefit The Howdy Club, the Houston A&M Club and the Reveille Club.
Fans can buy tickets at www.astros.com/aggie. The password is Aggie.
Johnson, who will be a junior, played baseball, basketball and football at Humble High School.

Burgoon, Shindler earn All-America honors: Texas A&M senior Bronson Burgoon was named a second-team PING All-American on Tuesday by the Golf Coaches Association of America, while sophomore teammate Conrad Shindler earned honorable mention.
Junior Andrea Pavan and Burgoon were also on the all-region team. This is the fourth straight year an Aggie has been an All-American.
Burgoon, a third-team All-American in 2007, led the Aggies to their first NCAA championship this year with a team-best 71.97 stroke average. He recorded 20 rounds of par or better and set a school record with an 8-under 64 at the NCAA West Regional. He set a school record with a 72.76 career scoring average and shot par or better a record 66 times during his time at A&M.
Burgoon won all three of his matches at the NCAA Championships, including the finals when he clinched the title for the Aggies with a dramatic birdie on the 18th hole.
Shindler had a 74.56 stroke average. He tied for 13th at the NCAA Championships, the highest individual finish by an Aggie since Danny Briggs was eighth in 1982.
Pavan earned all-region honors for the second straight year.
First-team All-Americans were Jorge Campillo of Indiana, Rickie Fowler and Morgan Hoffmann of Oklahoma State, Southern California's Matthew Giles, Matt Hill of North Carolina State, Florida's Billy Horschel, Kyle Stanley of Clemson, Washington's Nick Taylor, Cameron Tringale of Georgia Tech and Marquette's Mike Van Sickle.
Joining Burgoon on the second team were Blayne Barber of UCF, Bud Cauley of Alabama, UCLA's Erik Flores, John Peterson of LSU, Stanford's Steve Ziegler, Illinois' Scott Langley and the Georgia trio of Brian Harman, Russell Henley and Hudson Swafford.
Third-team honorees were Coastal Carolina's Zack Byrd, Harris English of Georgia, Wichita State's Dustin Garza, Andrew Landry of Arkansas, Washington's Richard Lee and Darren Wallace, Oklahoma State's Trent Leon, Steve Saunders of New Mexico and Virginia Tech's Drew Weaver.
Big 12 players among the 33 earning honorable mention were Pat Grady and Derek Tolan of Colorado, Lance Lopez of Texas, Robert Streb of Kansas State and Kevin Tway of Oklahoma State.
