Former A&M assistant Knauer named UTSA coach

SAN ANTONIO -- John Knauer was hired Tuesday as Texas-San Antonio's men's golf coach.
The College Station native and Texas A&M graduate began his coaching career at A&M (1995-98) before moving on to Arizona.
Knauer was a high school standout at A&M Consolidated High School. He earned first-team all-region and all-district accolades. Knauer was part of the Tigers' 1990 team that finished third at the state tournament.
