STILLWATER, Okla. -- The ninth-ranked Oklahoma State Cowgirls won the Big 12 golf championship, finishing 27 strokes ahead of 22nd-ranked Texas A&M.

OSU shot 912 in the 54-hole tournament at Karsten Creek Golf Club, holding off the Aggies, who had rallied to beat the Cowgirls in each of the last two years.

This time, A&M shot 315-304-320--939. Finishing behind the Aggies were Texas (958), Missouri (959), Oklahoma (965), Nebraska (968), Texas Tech (986), Kansas State (989), Iowa State (994), Kansas (998), Colorado (1,102) and Baylor (1,021).

"We didn't play as loose as I think we could have," A&M coach Trelle McCombs said. "We have some things to work on for the next 10 days to get ready for regionals."
