FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The 10th-ranked Texas A&M Aggies used a balanced attack and a late touchdown run from Ben Malena to beat Arkansas 45-33 on Saturday at Razorback Stadium.
A&M (4-1, 1-1 SEC) ran for 262 yards as a team and threw for 261. Johnny Manziel had the passing yardage on 23-of-30 passing with two touchdowns and no interceptions.
Trey Williams led the Aggies on the ground with 83 yards on nine carries, including a 17-yard run with 4:42 left in the third quarter to give A&M a 38-27 lead.
Arkansas (3-2, 0-1) answered with Brandon Allen’s 19-yard TD pass to Jonathan Williams to cut A&M’s lead to 38-33 with 1:09 left in the third quarter, but Malena countered it with his 1-yard TD run early in the fourth quarter.
