Comment Title: RE:spud87
Come on now spud....you must know better. Here I am as a coach, showing/telling my team that my player (their buddy) needs to lose pounds to play his position effectively. They already need some convincing I know what I'm doing, so I put him in, reversing my decision, call his number 6 times in a row with more than effective results, we ice the game, run out the clock, and a pumped up j-train dances off the field in victory. The high-5's are flowing and I just lost some believability. ONE: coach you said he was out til the weight came off as a matter of discipline and TWO: coach maybe he doesn't need the weight off...he looked pretty good. In fact he could have used a little more groceries on two of those carries. You are dealing with young men who have had their athletic life turned upside down by the last years events. This is their new "dad"...he better show he's fair, he better show he cares about the "family", he better show he loves 'em. I've been there.

you actually believe that a coach is playing not to win? that's got to be the dumbest thing i've heard all day. and the fact that they put jtrain in last game shows he is over his injury. that comment was meant for previous rantings by miller about why the coaches didn't put him in. and that point was brought up MANY times in the articles miller was supposedly commenting on. and miller you never actually answered my question: do you sit j train out to discipline him for not losing the weight he needs to (and thereby instilling much needed discipline to the rest of the team like your diatribe says) or play him to increase your chances of winning but not the discipline you say everyone on the team needs? i'm waiting.

Comment Title: Summary: What Greenbay had to say about Sherman?
My personal opinions: This discussion by multiple very knowledgable Greenbay followers a couple of days after Farve was trade to the Jets.(paraphrased) " Farve may do well in New York. Look how much we immediately improved once Sherman was fired, and the new coach brought discipline to the team and especially Farve. (agreement)Yes, Sherman was fired because of his inability to bring discipline to the team, and his inability to evaluate player personel. All agree. Yes, we lost a number of games because of Sherman's lack of discipline and some more because of his inability to evaluate players. Lengthy discussion about qb Rogers last four years and Greenbays future." J. Lane looked fine on his last 6 carries last Saturday, yet Sherman reportedly said he wont see significant playing time! My position is this really sucks and we beat osu if Lane and other proven Ags play full time! My position is Sherman is not playing to win this year, if this doesn't happen. miller58.

If you sit him then sit him. Don't play him when it benefits you. That sends a bad message. And, 6 or 7 straight carries between the tackles leads me to believe he is over the injury.

if you would the articles before you start ranting, you might actually learn something. j train has been injured since practice began this fall, AND sherman is trying to instill some discipline by telling him he needed to lose weight before he could see playing time. so instead of talking out of both sides of your mouth, take a position -is it play j train even though he hasn't held up his end of the deal, or is it instill some disipline by hoding him out?

Comment Title: Greenbay,"Sherman lost us games because of his inability to evaluate personel"
My personal opinions: What does it take for Sherman to get a clue about players? If Sherman plays our 44 TOUCHDOWN tailback full time, JORVORSKI LANE, along with SEVERAL OTHER proven A&M players, he hasn't been playing full time, we win at okie state Saturday! We also wouldnt be 2-2 against the likes of bottom tier teams; Is Sherman really trying to set a low bar against which he can show false improvement? miller58
