The Longhorns' 49-39 victory over the Aggies was the highest-scoring game in the history of the rivalry between Texas and Texas A&M. The total of 88 points eclipsed the previous mark of 85, set when the Horns won 57-28 in 1977.

A&M sophomore receiver Jeff Fuller set a career high with three touchdown receptions, scoring on plays of 70, 14 and 20 yards. Fuller's previous high for touchdown catches in a game was two. Fuller finished the game with six catches for 132 yards.

True freshman Ryan Swope had a big night in his first game as the Aggies' primary kickoff return man. Swope returned seven kicks for 180 yards, an average of 25.7. The Austin Westlake product had one kickoff return coming into the game.

Junior quarterback Jerrod Johnson broke the Texas A&M record for career touchdown passes with his second of the game sending him past Kevin Murray's mark of 48 set in 1986. Johnson added two more scoring passes to match his career-best of four in a game and give him 51 in 22 career starts. Rushing and passing, Johnson has accounted for 65 touchdowns in his career.

The 65-yard touchdown by Colt McCoy was the longest rushing score of the season allowed by the Aggie defense.

Jeff Fuller's 70-yard touchdown reception from Jerrod Johnson was the longest play in the career of both players. It was the longest pass play for A&M since Martellus Bennett took a quick pass from Stephen McGee and went 75 yards against Baylor in 2006.

UT's Earl Thomas established a new single-season school record with his eighth interception, breaking a tie that he had held with five others. Thomas has 10 interceptions in his career.

UT's Malcolm Williams had his second straight 100-yard receiving game and third of his career. His nine receptions were a career best.

UT's Kheeston Randall had two sacks, the first two of his Longhorn career.

UT's Tre' Newton rushed for 107 yard, his first 100-yard rushing game. He had no receptions, but the 107 yards gave him a career high for all-purpose yardage, topping the 102 he had against Kansas last week.

UT's Jordan Shipley completed the regular season with 3,998 career receiving yards, just 2 yards shy of becoming the ninth play in school history to reach 4,000.
