A&M interviews Minter: Former Notre Dame defensive coordinator Rick Minter has been interviewed by Texas A&M head football coach Mike Sherman, according to several reports.
Minter, who worked for Charlie Weis at Notre Dame from 2005-07, had been at Marshall the past two seasons. He was the interim head coach in Marshall's victory over Ohio in the Little Caesars Pizza Bowl. Minter also has reportedly interviewed with Mississippi State, which lost defensive coordinator Carl Torbush to Kansas.
Air Force's Tim DeRuyter and Boise State's Justin Wilcox also have been reported as candidates Sherman has or will interview to replace defensive coordinator Joe Kines, who retired after two seasons at A&M.
