EQUESTRIAN
Aggie riders head to OSU: The second-ranked Texas A&M equestrian team (3-0) will face No. 5 Oklahoma State on the Animal Science Arena grounds at 10 a.m. Saturday in Stillwater, Okla.
The Aggies hunter seat group has not competed since Oct. 17 while the western riders have been off since Oct. 3.
Oklahoma State (3-1) is coming off a 10-9 road loss to Fresno State two weeks ago. A&M beat Fresno State 15-5 to open the season.
FOOTBALL
Peterson named to Academic All-District team: Texas A&M junior defensive back Jordan Peterson was named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District 6 football team by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Peterson now becomes a candidate for the Academic All-America football team.
Peterson carries over a 3.8 grade point average in sport management. Peterson is also a two-time academic All-Big 12 selection.
TENNIS
Krajicek and Pollock edged in consolation play: CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. -- Texas A&M All-Americans Austin Krajicek and Conor Pollock lost in consolation play in singles and doubles at the ITA National Indoor Championships on Friday at the Boar's Head Sports Club.
Krajicek and Pollock fell to No. 18 Jason Jung and Mike Sroczynski of Michigan 8-5 in the opening round of the consolation doubles draw. The Aggie duo, ranked fourth nationally in the preseason ITA rankings, will face Andrew Landwerlen and Martin Zimmermann of Denver in an additional consolation match at 10 a.m. Saturday.
In the opening round of consolation singles, No. 19 Bruno Agostinelli of Kentucky beat No. 17 Pollock 3-6, 6-3, 7-6 (3).

Former A&M player advances in futures circuit: KOHALA COAST, Hawaii -- Former Texas A&M men's tennis player Brett Joelson (2004-07) continued to advance in the singles main draw of the USTA Futures Pro Circuit Tournament on Friday. Joelson defeated former Virginia All-American Treat Huey in the second round 6-2, 3-6, 6-3. Next up for Joelson is seventh-seeded and world No. 772 Daniel Yoo of Korea in the quarterfinals.
TRACK & FIELD
Indoor track facility season tickets to go on sale: The Gilliam Indoor Track Stadium at the McFerrin Athletic Center will be open from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday for fans to select their own seat while purchasing a season ticket package for Texas A&M's 2009 indoor track and field season.
Seats available for selection will be in sections classified as Gold ($150), Silver ($125) and Bronze ($100) and will include five home meets including the Big 12 Championships and NCAA Indoor Championships.
Texas A&M head track coach Pat Henry will be at the stadium to talk about the features of the new facility and answer questions. In addition, there will be an opportunity to meet recent Olympians who competed in Beijing, including A&M assistant coach Alleyne Francique, current Aggie volunteer coaches Muna Lee and Wallace Spearmon and current and former Aggie athletes Allison George, Fabrice Lapierre, Richard Adu-Bobie and Simone Facey.
Texas A&M's home schedule will begin Jan. 24 with a dual meet against the Texas men and Tennessee women.
