Former NFL head coach Jon Gruden is a huge Johnny Manziel fan.

“If Johnny Manziel is there at No. 18, I'll give you my cell phone number and I'll take you out to a steak dinner,”said Gruden, when asked by a New York Jets' beat writer if the Jets should take Manziel if he's still on the board.

Later in Tuesday's teleconference, Gruden said he didn't have any concerns about Manziel.

“I want Manziel,”Gruden said. “.... He can learn and he wants to learn.”

Gruden also said that Georgia's Aaron Murray is in his top five signal-callers. Gruden also likes Fresno State's Derek Carr, Alabama's AJ McCarron, Clemson's Tajh Boyd, etc.

At least Gruden admitted he gets accused of liking too many quarterbacks. Really, you can add all players, coaches, etc. He's this generation's version of Howard Cosell, who would several times during Monday Night Football would describe a player as “one of the best in the NFL.”

Gruden, though, did say there's no sure-fire Andrew Luck or Peyton Manning in the group, calling the draft a crap-shoot, adding there's some “great prospects.”
