OMAHA, Neb. -- Here's how the runs were scored in California's 7-3 victory over Texas A&M in the College World Series on Tuesday at TD Ameritrade Park.
FOURTH INNING
A&M -- Matt Juengel popped up to right field. Jacob House grounded out to the second baseman. Adam Smith homered to left field. Kevin Gonzalez popped up to the second baseman. 1 run, 1 hit, 0 errors, 0 runners left.
FIFTH INNING
Cal -- Chad Bunting reached on a two-base throwing error by third baseman Adam Smith. Darrel Matthews singled to left center field. Derek Campbell singled to right center field scoring Bunting. On the play, Campbell advanced to second on an error by center fielder Krey Bratsen that also scored Matthews. Austin Booker was out on a sacrifice bunt to the pitcher. Tony Renda flies out to right field, scoring Campbell. Chadd Krist lined out to right field. 3 runs, 2 hits, 2 errors, 0 runners left.
SIXTH INNING
Cal -- Marcus Semien singled to left field. Devon Rodriguez lined out to left field after failing to bunt. Mitch Delfino doubled to right center field, scoring Semien. Bunting singled to left field, scoring Delfino. Matthews grounded out to the second baseman. Semien singled to left field. Campbell singled to left center field, scoring Bunting. Campbell stole second. Booker struck out. 3 runs, 4 hits, 0 errors, 1 runner left.
A&M -- Bratsen singled to shortstop. Matt Juengel walked. Jacob House flied out to left field. Smith reached on a fielder's choice with Juengel out at second, the shortstop to second baseman. Bratsen scored when the second baseman's throw to first was wide. Kevin Gonzalez singled to center field. Wood singled up the middle, scoring Smith. Kenny Jackson struck out. 2 runs, 3 hits, 1 error, 2 runners left.
SEVENTH INNING
Cal -- Renda singled to left field. Krist grounded out to the first baseman on a sacrifice bunt. Semien grounded out to the second baseman. Renda advanced to third. Rodriguez singled to center field, scoring Renda. A&M replaced starting pitcher Michael Wacha with Joaquin Hinojosa. Rodriguez advanced to second on a wild pitch. Delfino grounded out to the second baseman. 1 run, 2 hits, 0 errors, 1 runner left.
