The Texas A&M baseball team landed in Omaha on Thursday afernon to prepare for its first game at 6 p.m. Sunday against defending champ South Carolina. The game will be televised on ESPN2.
The Aggies will work out at TD Ameritrade Park on Friday from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. after taking part in a morning press conference involving all the teams.
A&M announced Thursday that it had sold out its ticket allotment. Fans looking for tickets can check http://www.ncaa.com/info/baseball/d1/tickets.
The Association of Former Students and the Greater Omaha A&M Club will have a tailgate party at 2 p.m. Sunday at the corner of 15th St. and Burt, three blocks west of TD Ameritrade Park.
South Carolina also arrived in Omaha on Thursday after a morning sendoff at Carolina Stadium.
The Aggies are making their fifth trip to the CWS.
This will be the first meeting between A&M and South Carolina, which is making its 10th appearance in Omaha. A&M is 2-8 in the CWS, while the Gamecocks are 23-16.
