Aggies announce 2010 schedule: A 24-game, season-opening homestand and matchups with 12 NCAA Tournament teams highlight the 2010 Texas A&M baseball schedule, announced Tuesday by head coach Rob Childress.

The Aggies will play 40 of their 56 games at Olsen Field, where they have won 95 games over the last three seasons. In addition, half of A&M's games in 2010 will be against opponents who will be coming off trips to the NCAA Tournament.

A&M will open against Seton Hall on Feb. 19 at Olsen Field. The teams' only previous meeting came in the 1964 College World Series.

The Aggies also will host Western Illinois (Feb. 26-28), Winthrop (March 5-7) and Washington State (March 12-14) to open the season.

A&M will open Big 12 play against Texas Tech at Olsen Field on March 19-21.

SOCCER

Aggie women earn multiple honors: Texas A&M sophomore Bri Young was named the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week on Tuesday, while sophomore Rachael Balaguer and juniors Alyssa Mautz and Rachel Shipley were named to the 15th Annual Cal Invitational All-Tournament team.

Young led the Aggies for the second straight week, scoring a goal and adding an assist in A&M's 2-1 victory over Saint Mary's on Sunday. Balaguer also had an assist.

The No. 13 Aggies (3-2-0) will face top-ranked and defending national champion North Carolina (5-0-0) at 1 p.m. Saturday in Chapel Hill, N.C.
