Aggies sweep team titles at Texas A&M Invitational
Less than two weeks away from competing in the Big 12 Indoor Championships, the Texas A&M track and field team had one last chance to tune up. The Aggies hosted the Texas A&M Invitational Saturday at the Gilliam Indoor Stadium and ran the table with 15 victories between the men's and women's teams, which swept the team titles in their home event.
The No. 8 Aggie men totaled 211 points to finish ahead of Missouri (95) and Baylor (82). The No. 9 A&M women put together a 175.5-point performance ahead of Baylor (118) and Missouri (77).

Webb also ran in the 60 meters, where he took a 6.70-second victory. Following Webb in the 60 were Michael Bryan (6.77) and Prezel Hardy, Jr. (6.79).
Houston junior Errol Nolan also set a 2012 collegiate best with a 46.14 in the 400 meters. A&M's Ricky Babineaux (47.07) and Deon Lendore (47.21) finished second and fourth, respectively.

A&M will host the Big 12 Indoor Championships on Feb. 24-25. The Aggies will be chasing Texas in both the men's and women's sides, as the Longhorn men are ranked four spots ahead of A&M at No. 4 while the women are ranked three places ahead of the Aggies at No. 6.
Along with Texas and A&M, the Oklahoma and Kansas State men are ranked nationally. The women of Texas Tech, Iowa State, Baylor, Oklahoma and Kansas are all ranked, making for an interesting Big 12 Championship en route to the NCAA Championships on March 9-10 in Nampa, Idaho.
