And another one bites the dust.

Defensive back Darion Monroe -- a New Orleans native -- switched his oral committment Tuesday from Texas A&M to Tulane, where he will be given the opportunity to play quarterback while playing closer to home.

"I'm not going to be in the state of Texas," Monroe told Gigem247.com. "It doesn't matter, though. It's a decision I had to make for my family, and I'm going to go to Tulane."

Monroe's switch comes on the heels of defensive back Corey Thompson's switch from A&M to LSU on Monday night, leaving the Aggies with 19 players orally committed in the 2012 class. Wednesday is the first day recruits can sign a letter of intent.

Longtime A&M commit Bralon Addison of Fort Bend Hightower is expected to sign with Oregon where he visited last weekend, according to Gigem247.com.

Dallas Skyline wide receiver Thomas Johnson will announce his school decision at 11:20 a.m. Wednesday on ESPNU. The four-star receiver is expected to sign with the Aggies.

A&M fans can follow live signing day coverage on AggieAthletics.com beginning at 7 a.m. Wednesday. Head coach Kevin Sumlin will address the media at 4 p.m.

A&M to hire linebackers coach: Air Force defensive coordinator Matt Wallerstedt is set to become the final addition to Sumlin's coaching staff as A&M's linebacker coach, according to Gigem247.com.

Wallerstedt spent four years at Air Force, two as defensive coordinator. He coached the inside linebackers all four seasons.

Prior to that, Wallerstedt coached at Kansas State where he also served as recruiting coordinator in 2006.
