Piller shoots 64 in McGladrey Classic

Former Texas A&M golfer Martin Piller got off to a good start at the PGA Tour's McGladrey Classic on Thursday, firing a first-round 64 at Sea Island Resort's Seaside Course.


Webb Simpson and Zack Miller are tied for the lead at 63 with Scott McCarron and Billy Horschel tied with Piller at 64.


Other Aggies in the field include Shane Bertsch (67), Jeff Maggert (69) and Bobby Gates (73).


The second round of the $4 million, four-round event is set for Friday.
