A&M women's golf team advances to NCAA Championships

AUBURN, Wash. -- Freshmen Katerina Ruzickova and Natalie Reeves helped the Texas A&M women's golf team rally late to earn the West Regional's final berth to the NCAA Championships on Saturday at Washington National Golf Club.

Oregon led A&M by five strokes for eighth place when Ruzickova and Reeves combined for three key birdies, including a 30-foot putt on No. 17 and a clinching four-footer on No. 18 by Ruzickova.

Southern California won the West Regional at 2-over 866, followed by Tennessee (876), Virginia (887), UC Davis (887), Arizona (895), South Carolina (902), Washington (905), A&M (908), Oregon (909), Iowa State (913), Oklahoma (917), BYU (918), Denver (920), Georgia (926) and Pepperdine (931). The top eight teams advance to the Championships, set for May 18-21 at Traditions Club.
