A&M women's golf team slips to eighth at NCAA regional

AUBURN, Wash. -- The Texas A&M women's golf team shot a second-round 302 and slipped three spots into a tie for eighth place Friday at the NCAA West Regional at Washington National Golf Club.
The Aggies are tied with Oregon at 27-over 603 with the final round set for Saturday. The top eight teams advance to the NCAA Championships set for May 18-21 at Traditions Club.
Southern California leads at 4-under 572 followed by Tennesee (579), Virginia (591), U.C. Davis (592), Arizona (596), Washington (598) and South Carolina (602). After A&M and Oregon, Iowa State stands in 10th at 611 followed by BYU and Denver (614), Portland State and Oklahoma (616), Pepperdine and Georgia (617), San Diego State (621), UTSA (624), Tulsa (625), New Mexico (628), San Jose State (631), New Mexico State and Oral Roberts (634) and UTEP (645).
A&M's Katerina Ruzickova is tied for 19th individually at 148 after a 75. Teammate Natalie Reeves is tied for 25th at 149 (76) with Sarah Zwartynski (78) and Sara Beth Davis (73) tied for 45th at 153 and Susy Grunden tied for 89th at 159 (78).
