Comment Title: Can't Stop This
My personal opinions:_____I don't want to appear as if I'm gloating, but I have successfully out endured all of you and continued to post on EVERY Single football article (despite your pleas and threats) for the entire 2008 season. I am now going to do it for basketball_and you can't stop me!_I will do it EVERY day RELENTLESSLY and I GAURANTEE you will stop reading the comments sections before I stop posting in it. While I'm at... What is the deal with the unfinished skyscraper near the Physician's Center? Did they run out of money? Can AGGIELAND do anything right? Bad coaching, bad recruiting, bad construction projects. _Just my personal Opinion_____miller58

Comment Title: More Math
More points to ponder. Exclude the juco transfer and none of our three remaining 4* recruits are in the national top 250. So where are they projected?? NWACHUKWU : ranks as #40 WR; last WR in top 250 is the #32 WR in nation; these ratios project nwachukwu at a #312 national ranking. STEWART : ranks as #18 ILB; last ILB in top 250 is the #10 ILB in nation; these ratios project stewart at a #450 national ranking. LEWIS : ranks as #4 CENTER; last CENTER in top 250 is the #2 CENTER in nation; these ratios project lewis at a #500 national ranking. Maybe this will shed some light on why we have such a poor AVERAGE recruit. NOBODY has 26 commits yet and that is the ONLY reason we are ranked at #21 in total points...we have a whole bunch of 45 point players compared to some of the top teams at about 150 points per player. Quality, not Quantity is what we need --these three lower level 4 stars are NOT going to be of significant help in three years. You don't EVEN want to evaluate our three star commits compared to the rest of the country. Repeating, there will be about a dozen teams who sign a good class this year (10-12 Four stars) then there will be everybody else. Example: we have 26 commits with four 4* and 21 three stars and rank #21. TCU and WISC both have 17 commits at this point with four 4* and 10 three stars and they rank #37 & #38. Three coices: win it with coaching, win it with recruiting, finish last.

Comment Title: Math Tutor Wanted
First of all there are about 10-12 teams in the country who will do well in recruiting this year and then there is "everybody else". So finishing #20, 21, 25, 30 is not a successful year. Do you really think there is a differnce between #30 and #35? There will be 10-12 teams who land the required number of quality players to keep their program viable in future years. This excludes the teams with superior coaching who can get by with less quality and overcome it with coaching talent. There are also programs who will land grat recruiting classes and screw it up with coaching. So here is my take on the numbers and if my math is wrong please feel free to jump in with corrections. We all agree there are 22 players (11 offense + 11 defense). Assume we have no five star players but do have 22 upper level four star and lower level four star players combined. To get to the 22 we had to start with about 32 because there is a national average of about 30% attrition due to grades, injuries, or inability to get in the boat (I knew I could work that in). Consider that we have 4 classes plus a red-shirt class. We use the four classes to field a team which means we need a minimum of EIGHT upper and lower level 4 star players per class (8 x 4 = 32). Throw in about three more per class, before attrition, for some second string duty and you get to 10-12 four stars per class. The balance of the second string (10-12 total players) will be made up of three star types. Some of these 3 stars will develop and displace a 4 star in the starting rotation but the total number of 3/4 stars will remain the same. Excluding the junior college transfer, we have only THREE 4 star players commited and they are LOWER 4 stars. By that I mean they are ranked as a 4 star but not in the top 250 players in the nation. And if you think having 26 players on your list and being ranked #21 is an accomplishment then just consider the fact that if a team currently had 33 TWO-STAR players on its commit list they could be ranked #20. Will those players make their program stronger? We need quality, not quantity.

Because like most programs you can either coach or you can recruit or you can finish last and it doesn't look like we can coach and nobody likes to finish last. Current administration excluded.

What do you really expect from a recruiting stand point when A&M has not really been relevant in at least 10 years? And why is everyone so up in arms over this particular recruiting class? As of now, Rivals has it ranked 21st and Scout has it ranked 10th. That's pretty good for a team coming off a 4-8 season. Why would you think A&M would be hauling in all these 4&5 star recruits???

If they did so well recruiting fuller, gray, and hunter last year what the heck is going on this year. This inbound class stinks.

Comment Title: FRESHMEN
You can only evaluate freshmen who you see play and most good coaches don't have room for freshmen in the lineup. When you play more than anyone else it stands to reason you will get more selected.

Comment Title: Direction
Yes the current staff did sign those three and they did a graet job for us and will do so in the future. It's easier to recruit on big promises rather than bad performance so alas, word is now out. The recruits have seen the staff at work on the field and now the incoming class has not one to measure up to those three. We were headed in the right direction but made a wrong turn and to top it off we are out of gas.

Comment Title: Recruiting
For all the recruiting doom and gloom it seems like the Freshman contributed pretty well this year. Rivals also had a total of 7 Aggie freshman listed to the All Big 12 Freshman team. And if memory serves, Fuller, Gray, and Hunter were all signed by this current staff. Seems like they are going in the right direction
